Our thanks go out to all the Mustangs players, boosters, families, fans, supporters, and sponsors who have helped make the men's lacrosse program at YLHS a success!

You can tell a lot about a program by who shows up before a single whistle blows.

Tonight was special.

We had an incredible turnout of YLHS Mens Lacrosse parents packing Nikki’s Kitchen with excitement, and a shared commitment to building something special — something that will last.

The 2026/27 season is officially started tonight.

The momentum is real.
The expectations are high.
And we’re just getting started.

Thank you to every parent who came, signed up to volunteer, asked questions, and chose to invest in this program, this family.

And somehow… not the end of the story.
Down 3–10 with five minutes left.
Five. Minutes. Left.

That’s not a comeback window. That’s a handshake line waiting to happen. That’s parents grabbing keys, students checking scores from other games, the quiet acceptance of “not tonight.”

But nobody told our boys.

One goal. Then another. Then chaos.

Then belief.

Sideline went from funeral to frenzy. Helmets flying. Voices gone.

Every ground ball a street fight. Every clear a jailbreak. Every possession—oxygen.

10–4.
10–5.
10–6…

You could feel it. Not hope. Not yet.
Something heavier. Something louder.

Pressure.
El Dorado felt it. Everyone did.
11–9.
11–10.
Now it’s not a comeback.
Now it’s a problem.
Clock bleeding out. Crowd standing. Hearts somewhere in throats or on the turf.
And then—because of course—
11–11.
Tie game.
From the dead to level ground with a puncher’s chance to steal it in regulation. One more bounce. One more look. One more moment to complete something that didn’t even exist ten minutes earlier.

Didn’t fall.
Overtime.

And sometimes… the story doesn’t end the way it should.

12–11. El Dorado.
Final.

No movie script. No miracle finish. Just a group of boys who decided five minutes was enough time to remind everyone exactly who they are.

Scoreboard says loss.
But everyone there knows the truth:
That wasn’t losing. That was a statement written in sweat, grit, and absolute refusal.
Season ends.
Standard doesn’t.
Mustangs.

To Our Seniors…gonna miss you like something fierce. All to say, your families, your School…we are so proud of you all.
